OverviewQualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
- BSN obtained within 12 months of hire date into this position
- Working knowledge of nursing in a hospital setting
- Understanding of accreditation and regulatory requirements as they relate to patient safety and performance improvement
- Working knowledge of quality improvement tools, data analysis and statistics, and publicly reported patient safety initiatives
- Well developed communication skills, both oral and written
Licensure/Registration/Certification:
Desired Qualifications:
- MSN or MN
- Experience with the Root Cause Analysis and Failure Mode Effect Analysis processes
- Ability to critically analyze reasearch articles and appropriately apply findings to practice
- Successful completion of a Clinical Nurse Leader education master's program or experience in a CNL role
- CPHQ certification
Responsibilities Establishes and coordinates a System wide patient safety program that fosters ongoing improvement in patient safety and complies with accreditation and regulatory standards. Works with executives, management, hospital and medical staff to develop a culture of safety and medical error prevention.
