Primary Duties:Serves asthe initial contact person at the medical practice or hospitaldepartment and greets patients in a courteous and professional manner.The Patient ServiceCoordinator manages the intake of patients into the practice, screens foremergent conditions, registers, verifies and explains patientresponsibility for payment.Performs check in andcheck out procedures by inputting patient charges and verifyingdemographic and insurance information.Coordinates efficientpatient flow through the practice or hospitalize department assigned.Supports organizationinitiatives related to new technology, clinical programs andimproving the patient experience.Qualifications:6 months - 1 year ofproviding high quality customer service required, preferably in ahealth care setting.
