Patient Service Representative A Patient Service Representative is responsible for providing patient-centered care and facilitating patient access to services in a pleasant, knowledgeable, and efficient manner. This role requires communicating with a diverse population using well-developed interpersonal skills. The staff member will be responsible for all aspects of patients' registration and appointment process and will play an integral role in the medical care team as the access point for patients to receive care. The candidate will perform job duties in compliance with systems and job-specific standards. Locations: Southampton, Amityville, Brentwood, Coram, Patchogue, Riverhead, and ShirleyPay: $17-$19 per hourWork Hours: 35-hour work week (7 hours paid and 1 hour unpaid lunch). Candidates are required to work 1-2 late nights a week and 1 Saturday a month if the site is open on Saturdays.Skills and Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED1 year of front desk or CSR healthcare experience is a huge plusBilingual Spanish is a plusComputer skillsEMR experience is a huge plus Job Description: Assist with daily reception activities and ensure that all processes needed for patient services are initiated.Communicate effectively with team members and patients on all aspects of service.Responsible for telephone and mail contact with patients.Schedule appointments, collect fees, and explain services and charges for patient services.Distribute materials to patients, including patient satisfaction cards, patient rights, and other appropriate materials.Verify all insurance and set fees based on the sliding scale fee.About Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
