The Patient Service Representative must greet all patients and clients in a professional manner. Bilingual (English & Spanish) a bonus, not required. Full and Part-Time positions available.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* Greets patients and visitors, determining their needs, and directs them accordingly.* Provide new patient's information sheets and ensure completeness and accuracy.* Processing necessary documentation with reference to registration, insurance verifications and initial fee collection and routing to the appropriate clinic, personnel and/or department. Verify patient's insurance status on established patients in the system and verify by way of Ecare, Medifax, or phone. Notes insurance status on the super bill (i.e., Cash, Medicare, Medicaid, BCBS, etc.).* Enters and maintains demographic data for patients in Health Pro (patient data base system) and attach a copy of patient's insurance information, ID and/or claim for to the super bill.* Assists clients in the completion of necessary forms for registration and medical records requests.* Collects co-payments during patient's check-in with the PSR.* Ensures the client receives quality and professional customer service throughout the duration of their visit.* Proper telephone etiquette must be practiced at all times.* Handles incoming phone calls; answers questions, gives information, directs calls and takes messages.* Return patient messages for scheduling appointments.* Schedule physician appointments and retrieve appointment list for the next business day for front desk and medical records.* Makes and checks off appointments as directed by physician guidelines. Cancels and reschedules appointments as necessary.* Print appointment schedules for nurse and physician check-off .* Call to remind patients of their scheduled appointments the day before the appointment.* Schedule the patient's next appointment.* Collects fees for patients when lab work is needed and process payments on balance.* Organize super bills in insurance order ensuring none is missing.* Compares super bill count to the number of patients on the sign-in sheet.* Process charge entry and maintain client confidentiality.* Prepares front desk area for the beginning of the next business day.* Takes the initiative to find ways to improve the organization: 1) improve efficiency; and 2) improve customer service.* Back-up other front office and back-office personnel by helping them with their workload.* Capable of dealing tactfully and effectively with patients, visitors, staff, and physicians.* Regular and reliable attendance.* Perform other duties as assigned*EDUCTION & QUALIFICATIONS* High School Diploma/GED.* Minimum of one (1) year of customer service required.* Minimum of one (1) of medical billing required.* Knowledge of Health Pro and GE Centricity computer software preferred.* Able to work independently.* Willing to travel to other sites as necessary.* Able to adapt to change and maintain a professional demeanor.* Able to handle a fast-paced diverse workplace in a team environment.* Excellent interpersonal/oral communication skills.BENEFITSAt TCA Health, we believe that you, our Employees, are our most important asset.
