Programs are offered for children, adolescents and adults struggling with mental illness as well as offering services specializing in Anxiety, Eating Disorders, and Geriatric Services.Job SummaryThe Patient Service Coordinator is responsible for administrative support in a busy medical office setting providing duties from scheduling appointments, verifying insurance precertification, as well as triaging phone calls from patients, providers, and insurance companies, while maintaining patient and business confidentiality to ensure that the needs of the internal and external customers are met. Reports to assigned supervisor.Responsibilities* Greets patients and visitors, checks patients in and out, and obtains necessary documentation. Verifies and enters demographic information.* Obtains and verifies insurance authorization/precertification. Completes medical record release requests and schedules/confirms patient appointments.* Collects co-payments and reconciles all daily reports and deposits for accuracy.* Provides general office and clerical support to medical office.* Understands different insurance carriers and plans.
