39 Paid Days Off Each YearPosition SummaryThe Dental Services Representative acts as the first point of contact for patients when they enter the site and performs all clerical duties related to patients during both the check-in and the check-out process. The Dental Services Representative is responsible to monitor appointments and patient flow, answer telephones, schedule appointments, collect data, complete reports, and perform all duties, as requested.Duties and ResponsibilitiesSchedule walk-in, same-day, and planned appointments in person and via telephone for emergency, pregnant women, and childrenReview, verify, and correct insurance discrepanciesEnsure reminder calls are made and documented in DentrixCollect appropriate co-pays and/or paymentsAdvise patients of privacy rights, collect patient documents, and ensure all items are scanned into the patient recordExplain Financial Assistance to patients, as appropriate and coordinate with enrollment staff to ensure documents are completed timelyRequired Skills, Knowledge, Experience, or Licensure/RegistrationStrong organizational, administrative, and problem-solving skillsAbility to effectively present information to others, including other employees, community partners, and vendorsWork in a team-oriented environmentExcellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills and ability to effectively work with people from diverse backgrounds and to be culturally sensitiveProficiency in Electronic Dental Record software (Dentrix) and Electronic Medical Record (Athena) strongly preferredBilingual English/Spanish or English/Polish strongly preferredKnowledge of proper use of all dental materials and dental equipment helpfulProficiency in Microsoft OfficeBenefits27 days of PTO each year, accrued each pay period3 personal days1 floating holiday8 paid holidaysMedical/Dental/Vision coverage available the 1st of the month following 30 daysCompany-paid life, short-term disability, and long-term disability coverageDiscretionary 403(b) match and profit sharing after meeting service requirementsFlexible spending accountsAccident & critical illness coveragePet insuranceSalaryAll wages are based on relevant years of experience.
