In this role, you'll play a crucial part in delivering high-quality patient care by performing accurate and efficient blood draws. Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Interaction: Greet and interact with patients in a friendly and professional manner, addressing their concerns and providing clear explanations.
- Phlebotomy: Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws on patients of all ages, ensuring accurate and safe procedures.
- Specimen Processing: Prepare and process blood specimens for laboratory testing, following established protocols.
- Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, adhering to confidentiality guidelines.
- Compliance: Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and quality standards.
Required Skills and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical assistant or paramedic training is preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification is preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
- Minimum 6 months of experience in a healthcare setting.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
- Attention to detail and ability to work accurately and efficiently.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, holidays, and on-call.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
