The Registrar provides patient registration services including patient interview, preparation of registration forms and other admission or transfer related requirements. Creating a positive customer service environment, the Registrar assists with insurance verification, collections of identified amounts due and pre-certification through collaboration with Clinic providers, Clinic Manager and other departments to ensure comprehensive processing and continuum of care.Requirements
- Some post-secondary education in healthcare discipline is preferred.
- Must be able to read and write the equivalent of eighth grade English.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and working knowledge of patient accounting strongly preferred.
- Position requires efficient data entry skills, balancing figures, and understanding of reconciliation processes. Excellent customer relations and oral/written communication skills are required.
