Responsibilities include:Serving as one of the most valuable members of the FBJ team - you are a patient's FIRST IMPRESSION of usFast learning and retention of healthcare industry knowledge, i.e. medical terminology, services, anatomy, insurance, authorizations, EMRs, and more. Heavy phone use, answering a multi-line phone as the first point of contact for the clinicCross-training in front office reception greeting patients, and checking them in and out for appointmentsAnswering a multi-line phone and serving as the first point of contact for patientsField a variety of inquiries, requests, and conversations with patientsSchedule patient appointments for a multi-provider practiceAssist with and/or relay patient requests/questions to clinical staffMonitor provider schedules to ensure scheduling accuracyPerform various admin duties such as processing referrals, medical records, and test results Other administrative projects/duties as directed RequirementsPosition Requirements and Preferences: Prefer a PSR with long-term leadership potential General understanding of outpatient services, patient flow, and general healthcare businessMedical office and billing/insurance verification experience preferable Exceptional customer service skillsAble to handle a high volume of phone calls with daily targetsMust believe in a patient-centered approachOutstanding teamwork attitudeExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsLearn and work at an efficient and fast paceMust be self-motivated, with a great personality, fun to be around, and engaging on the phone FBJ offers the following benefit programs (for full-time employees): Medical Insurance - Blue Cross Blue Shield of AZ (must work 30 hrs / week or more) Health Savings Account (H.S.A.)
