Location: Gallatin,TN, USA
Under the supervision of an RN, provides continual observation of assigned patients to ensure their safe environment and quickly identify potential safety concerns for those patients.
Reports to: Staffing Coordinator
Performs assigned non-clinical tasks contained in the plan of care and as assigned by the RN.

Reports pertinent changes in patient's status to Primary Nurse and/or Charge Nurse to include but not limited to changes in patients mental status/behavior, overall appearance, safety risks and requests for services that are not currently being provided if appropriate.

Promotes patients' physical and mental wellbeing through appropriate patient communication. Maintain good rapport with primary caregiver

Reports any environmental concerns to the RN as needed.

Completes and submits required documentation

Participate in quality improvement and infection control activities as appropriate to patient assignment.

Completed all required education, including Handle With Care class, in accordance with policy.

Must attend Handle with Care training class initially and annually.
Minimum Education
High school diploma or equivalent - Preferred

Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Ability to make reasonable interpretation of situations and acts appropriately.

Certifications:
American Heart Association Family and Friends CPR Certificate, Heartsaver, or BLS certification OR American Red Cross BLS. Required within 90 days if not current upon hire
