007835 Primary Responsibilities: Transports patients to their inpatient beds and/or to other areas such as surgery, therapy or radiology in a safe and timely manner. Maintains and cleans equipment. Complies with established PPE requirements necessary for protection against exposure to blood and other potentially infectious body fluids, chemical disinfectants, radiation and other hazardous substances. Abides by all Infection Control Policies i.e. Hand Hygiene, Equipment Decontamination. Qualifications Transport of patient: includes lifting and moving patient, movement to designation with appropriate equipment.Monitor's patient's status enroute and responds to change in patient condition . Decontamintates equipment after each transport in compliance with Equipment Contamination Policy . Interacts with co-workers, visitors , and other staff consistent w i th the core values of the Hospital. Educational / Training Requirements: High school graduate or G.E.D. equivalent required BLS - Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association required Conditions of Employment Since this position will require the selected candidate to engage in regular contact with children in the form of care, guidance, supervision or training, you will be required to meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including the Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI finger print based federal criminal records check. The selected candidate will not be allowed to commence working until all three (3) are completed satisfactorily.
