The RN stays with the patient unless a licensed nurse takes over monitoring. The RN watches for changes in patterns and calls for help when needed.* Notifies dispatcher of the status of assigned duties and proceeds as instructed.* Champions overall safety in the department. Reports possible safety issues and recommends changes. Complies with OSHA and other regulations.* Dresses in designated uniform and adheres to proper hygiene when reporting to work and performing job duties.* Transports bodies to the morgue and ensures that proper documentation is completed.Key Success Factors* Ability to use appropriate communication equipment, operate wheelchairs, hospital beds, and stretchers.* Must be able to communicate thoughts clearly; both through speech and in writing.* Able to give consistent excellent customer service with empathy, patience, and confidence.* Able to know about the customer's point of view and take ownership of creating a solution to their issues.* Relational skills required to interact effectively with patients and staff.* Basic computer skills, including but not limited to: data entry, information security, electronic medical documentation, handheld scanning, and email.Belonging StatementWe believe that all people should feel welcomed, valued and supported, and that our workforce should be reflective of the communities we serve.QUALIFICATIONS* EDUCATION - H.S. Diploma/GED Equivalent* EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of ExperienceCERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION -* Basic Life Support (BLS): BLS or BLS within 30 Days of Hire or transfer.
