Job Description
The Patient Transporter reports to the Imaging Supervisor or Imaging Director. Under general supervision, the Patient Transporter assists with the transportation of patients and other ancillary items within the MUSC campus.
High school graduate or equivalent (GED). Completion of a recognized allied health course or six months patient care experience in a health care setting preferred. May require working irregular hours, rotating shifts and weekends.
Basic Life Support required within 2 weeks of hire. Thereafter, must maintain a current Basic Life Support (BLS), either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
Additional Job Description
Education: High School Degree or Equivalent Work Experience: 0-6months State licensure and/or professional certification requirement/s dependent on position.
