Duties include but are not limited to any other related duties as assignedSafely transports patients via wheelchair or stretcherAssists with transport of admissions, discharges and transfer of patientsTransport of specimens, mail, medical records, and equipment as neededConsiders patient's safety at all timesReports unsafe conditions and/or incidents as they occurReports any untoward or unusual occurrences to nurseReports faulty equipment immediately and in accordance with Hospital PolicyTransport patient body to the morgue Purposeful Encounters (if patient is asking for something, call the HUC by using the patient's land line phone; let she/he know what the patient needs are) Cleans transport equipment between each patient useMinimum Education Requirements: High school Diploma or GEDMinimum Work Experience: 6 months of experience in a hospital, long-term care or rehabilitation setting preferred.
