Description: JOB PURPOSE: Ensuring that patients are transferred throughout the hospital campus in a safe and timely manner that maximizes patient flow.Qualifications:MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Entry Level.MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW: HeartSaver CPR AED or BLS training required.ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: None.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Performs patient transfers using proper techniques.2. Ensures patient safety during ambulation and transport.3. Acquires and maintains transportation equipment and supplies.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES Requires good verbal communication skills to interact with patient, families' doctors and clinical staff.Ability to follow oral and written instructions.Skill and ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.Ability to work as a member of a team.Skill and ability in Microsoft Office applications.Requires much walking, lifting and physical exertion. Operation of machines and equipment. Ability to lift, push or pull 100-200 pounds.
