Job Summary and Qualifications

The Patient Transporter is responsible for safely transporting patients from one are to another via wheelchair, stretcher, or ambulating.

Additional Responsibilities include:

  • Communicating relevant patient information to receiving unit
  • Transporting items with patient or separately such as oxygen or IV stands.
  • Returning all stretchers and wheelchairs to correct location, cleaning stretchers and wheelchairs after use, and ensuring O2 tanks are full and stored appropriately.
  • Other duties include, but are not limited to, clerical, scheduling, ordering supplies, inventory, cleaning, and all other duties deemed necessary by the Medical Imaging Management Team.
What qualifications you will need:
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Previous healthcare experience preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills and a patient-centered attitude required.
