Job Description
Laredo Medical Center is looking for a Patient Transporter in our Radiology Department. Laredo Medical Center offers a full range of imaging services to provide patients with diagnostic and therapeutic services. Our imaging and radiology services teams work with doctors, nurses and other clinicians to deliver comprehensive care. Our digital imaging technology allows doctors to access test results immediately, so treatment can begin more quickly. Our trained imaging technologists are certified with advanced registries and are focused on patient safety and comfort.
Position's Purpose and Essential Functions:
The transporter is responsible for transporting patients to and from Radiology for various imaging procedures. Will assist technologist in dealing with jackets and film processing when appropriate. Must dress appropriately and act in a professional manner. Other responsibilities include retrieving medical records, lab results, supplies and medications. Maintain and respect patient confidentiality. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. No experience necessary.

* Required: High school diploma or equivalent preferred or experience.
Experience:
* Required: Must be at least 18 years of age.
* Preferred: Hospital or medical experience.
* Required: Must be mature and able to work in stressful situations.
Licenses/Certificates:
* Required: BLS within 30 days of hire.
