The North Mankato Police Department is soliciting applications for a police officer opening. The City of North Mankato lies approximately 80 miles southwest of Minneapolis/St. Paul. With a population of over 14,500 North Mankato and is a key part of the region for retail trade, agriculture, medical care, manufacturing, and education.

Officers enjoy working in a community with robust support from residents and businesses. Officers work a rotating day/night shift (6a-6p, 6p-6a) based on bidding by seniority.

Lateral hires with four or more years of continuous sworn law enforcement service will be eligible to be hired at Senior Patrol ($96,341 annually beginning in 2025). Lateral entry officers will also receive 45 hours of banked sick and vacation time to be used in accordance with the collective bargaining contract.

Lateral hires with less than four years' experience are eligible for pay range $74,696 - $87,397.44.
