Summary/Objective Job Description In 1940, the Berkshire Music Center (now the Tanglewood Music Center) began its operations. Home to the famous Boston Symphony Orchestra, and the site of one of the world's best-known music festivals, Tanglewood hosts the Festival of Contemporary Music, along with many other events including concerts of various genres from jazz to pop. Today, Tanglewood annually draws over 350,000 visitors. Each season offers not only a vast quantity of music, but also a vast range of musical forms and styles, all of it presented with a regard for artistic excellence that makes the festival unique. If you have a love of music, the Berkshires and people then we have a wonderful opportunity to work on our Patron Services team. You will be responsible for answering questions, assisting customer and providing information regarding all details of Tanglewood both on the phone and in-person.
Required Education and Experience Responsibilities - Be part of a team that that promotes exceptional service to ensure a memorable patron experience
- Manage the Lost and Found, disseminating information, and providing general customer service in person and over the phone.
- Knowledge of all the amenities of Tanglewood's grounds and programs; includes all events, rehearsals, talks, tours, etc.
- Be able to assist guests with accessing Mobile Tickets
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure service excellence
- Knowledge of music is extremely helpful.
- Foreign languages are a plus.
- Required to attend customer service training and orientation meetings.
