Buck Foundry located in Quarryville, PA is looking for a Patten Maker to join their team on 1st shift. In this role you will produce and repair 3D patterns and core boxes which are used to create molds for casting metal in the foundry. - Planning how to make patterns from 2D and 3D drawings and prints
- Uses trade mathematics to calculate dimensions and angles
- Set up and operate multiple types of machinery and uses hand tools to cut and form material into desired shape
- Accurately checks for dimensions and reference points. Modifies patterns to achieve the exact final dimension
- Repairs broken or defective patterns and alters patterns to conform to changes in design
- Perform other related duties as requested by supervision
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Must be able to efficiently work within a team based environment
- Ability to comprehend instructions and accept coaching and mentoring
- Prior pattern making experience preferred
- Experience with CAD and/or Haas CNC machines a plus
- Ability to safely and successfully perform job functions consistent with Buck Company safety policy
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time in a non-climate controlled environment
- Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively to all team members
