Pattern Maker

We are seeking a talented Patternmaker to join our team for designer level tailored women's jackets. Prefer Gerber pattern making capability for development and production patterns and cutters. Important that patternmaker understands balance and very precise fit.

Nina McLemore designs and sells designer women s apparel focused on executive women and community professionals who want high-quality clothes that have style and are appropriate for their lifestyle. Quality, vibrant colors, and great fit represent our brand. The collection is sold through three Nina McLemore stores, the internet, direct to women through independent sales consultants, and exclusive better specialty stores.

Responsibilities:

• Designer level fully constructed jackets including correct balance, spreading and armhole shape and depth.
• Preparing cut tickets for factories, in factory inspection and construction guidance to factories.
• Conduct fittings, write fit notes take photos in order to get all instructions for patternmaking.
• Could also include Design of garments.

Qualifications:

• Must have at least 5 years experience in constructed garment patternmaking, fittings, and preparing cutters musts. for better/designer level womenswear.
• The product is designer level fully constructed jackets and must have experience and know how to correct balance, spreading and armhole shape and depth.
• Someone who has been a suit tailor would be perfect.

Flexible work arrangement:

This role can be permanent or freelance, full-time or part-time (Salary and benefits for permanent full-time). Production is all NYC so can work from home and visit the production office and factories.
