Following company safety requirements and quality system standards is required. Flexibility of daily job demand tasks and keeping the work area clean and orderly is required.Essential Job Functions:To perform the job successfully, the individual must accomplish the following:
- Develop / create innovative patterns for various seating systems.
- Marking and cutting materials according to patterns and design specifications, with a range of fabrics.
- Cutting fabric to minimize material waste.
- Quality conscience, responsible for own quality of product.
- Staying updated with the latest technologies and trends in pattern marking.
- Keeps the work area clean and orderly.
- Ensures and follows safety requirements and standards.
- Perform in-process inspections.
- Training new employees in pattern cutting.
- Act as a technical expert and mentor others to efficiently interpret design intent.
- Create and maintain accurate records for all work order jobs.
- Perform duties as assigned by the team leader.
Qualifications:Education:
- High School Diploma or GED.
Experience:
- Proven working experience as a Pattern Maker or a similar role.
- Ability to use pattern making equipment and machinery.
- A problem solver with a detail orientated approach.
- Able to work effectively independently and within a team environment.
- Possess effective oral and written communication skills.
- Highly adaptable and responsive to changing business needs.
Working Environment:
- Position may require extended hours on occasion.
- Position requires standing in a manufacturing environment for extended periods of time.
- Requires lifting up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally or as part of a group.
