Job Description:
About Allara Your health is not one thing; it's everything, and when it comes to hormonal health no two people are exactly the same. We built Allara to provide effective solutions and consistent 1:1 medical support for the countless women who felt unheard, rushed, or overlooked in traditional care models. Allara is not just one appointment-or three, or ten-it's a long-term plan with real access, attention, and understanding, where our care teams can drive solutions and manage your needs over time. We're listening to you, and your body, so you can live your healthiest, fullest life. About the role: Allara is looking for a Payer Operations Manager to play a critical role in achieving our mission of making our care model accessible to the millions of women who need our care. Allara is already in network with payers across 8 states, and this role will support expansion of our model into additional markets as well as deepening relationships in our existing markets. This role will support leadership in implementing new fee for service contracts as well as managing existing payer relationships, from solving technical issues to managing day to day payer operations activities to strategically growing our visibility with payers. The right person is experienced in payer relations, payer operations, credentialing and contracting, and is passionate, mission-driven, and able to wear many hats in our rapidly growing environment. Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage Payer Contracting: this role will lead both organizing and optimizing our existing contracts, as well as working alongside leadership and Allara vendors to secure and implement new contracts
  • Collaborate with other departments including growth, concierge, credentialing and revenue cycle management to ensure timely and organized payer status information is incorporated into all Allara care flows. Troubleshoot patient-facing issues and work with our teams to develop language to support frequent insurance-related patient questions.
  • Provide leadership and day-to-day oversight to our payer enrollment team
  • Develop and build strong relationships with existing and new payer partners. Serve as a primary Allara contact for payer audiences. Implement regular strategic and operational touchpoints with network representatives and executives.
  • Audit Allara contracts to identify opportunities for growth in contract renegotiations.
  • Collaborate with other Allara departments including credentialing, revenue cycle management and clinical to identify opportunities for process improvement in contract implementation and develop SOPs to remain compliant with multiple payer requirements (for example, streamlining roster management and data collection across multiple payer requirements).
  • Serve as an internal subject matter expert to inform contract negotiation and other strategic payer expansion efforts including working with our team and external vendors towards delegated credentialing.
Experience & Skills:
  • 5+ years experience with payer sales, payer operations, payer contracting, and provider credentialing either at a payer, large provider group or health system
  • Prior experience at a national payer is a plus
  • Experience operationalizing company strategy at a high level, but willingness to dig into the weeds when needed
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills, with a proven ability to not only create partnerships, but to ensure their ongoing growth and success as well
  • High attention to detail and exceptional collaboration skills; proven ability to manage complex projects across multiple stakeholders
What you'll love about Allara:
  • A strong mission to improve the healthcare experience for underserved populations
  • A kind, hardworking team that values phenomenal patient care, ownership, and collaboration
Details:
  • Estimated salary: $110,000-125,000
  • Medical/Dental/Vision
  • 401(k)
  • Unlimited PTO
