If you are looking for a meaningful and fulfilling career, we hope that you will consider SMI.Position Overview Responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising work of assigned unit in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and contractual obligations. Performs other duties, as assigned.Required Skills
  • Provides direct supervision for assigned personnel, ensuring employees perform job functions according to Standard Operating Procedures, contractual obligations, corporate policies and procedures, and other codes and laws and provide coaching and feedback
  • Provides training and continuous development to existing and new employees.
  • Assess and evaluate employee work quality for quality assurance purposes and provide coaching and feedback.
  • Monitors production workflow and able to make necessary adjustments to queue assignment to eliminate delays in processing of payments
  • Maintain weekly and monthly reports on staff productivity
  • Monitors and provides disciplinary actions, as warranted
  • Manages and effectively uses corporate and project resources
  • Consults appropriately with stakeholders regarding project changes and decisions
  • Maintain professional demeanor in appearance, conduct and workplace relationships, and strive to lead by example.
  • Communicates changes and decisions appropriately with staff and stakeholders.
  • Ensure that payments lacking identifying information are reviewed by employees. This shall include research, outreach, and documentation.
Knowledge of:
  • Designated third-party policies and procedures (i.e. United States Postal Service mail facility)
  • Policies and procedures involved in SDU payment processing
  • Child support policies related to payment processing
  • SMI systems
  • Technical aspects of field of specialty
  • Principles and practices of supervision
  • Record keeping techniques
  • General office equipment such as fax machines, copiers, printers, scanners, etc.

Education an/or Experience
  • Two-year college degree, preferably in a business field, and one-year prior supervisory experience
OR
  • An equivalent combination of education and work experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform the work
Language Skills:
  • Must be fluent in English
Computer Skills:
  • Must be proficient in data entry skills including keyboard, mouse, and 10-key pad and have experience and knowledge of software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Windows products
