Position - Payments Engineer Location - Charlotte NC - Hybrid Rate - DOE Start Date - Immediately About the Role: Payments Engineer with expertise in the MTS Universal Payment Framework (UPF with e hands-on experience with ACI MTS systems and a deep understanding of SWIFT and ISO messaging standards, The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment and requires skills in DevOps, deployment automation, and payments technology within the banking or fintech industry. Key Responsibilities:
- Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain the MTS Universal Payment Framework (UPF), including processes, lines, queues, remote records, and database settings (REL & AUX).
- Provide functional expertise on the ACI MTS platform and manage its configurations within the payments ecosystem.
- Handle daily operations, resolve issues, and optimize MTS processes to ensure smooth payment workflows.
- Work with DevOps teams to implement deployment automation for payment systems, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
- Maintain and troubleshoot SWIFT message types such as MT103, MT202, MT202COV, MT910, MT900, MT192, MT210, and MT292.
- Work with ISO 20022 message types including PACS, PAIN, and CAMT, ensuring compliance with payment standards.
- Analyze, diagnose, and resolve complex payment and messaging issues, collaborating with stakeholders to implement solutions.
- Participate in Agile sprints, working with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality payment solutions on time.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience with the MTS Universal Payment Framework (UPF) and ACI MTS platforms.
- Expertise in banking/fintech platforms, especially payment systems.
- Hands-on experience with MTS configurations, including processes, lines, queues, remote records, and database setup (REL & AUX).
- Experience with DevOps, deployment practices, and automation for payment platforms.
- Strong knowledge of SWIFT messaging types, particularly MT103, MT202, MT202COV, MT910, MT900, MT192, MT210, and MT292.
- Familiarity with ISO 20022 message types, such as PACS, PAIN, and CAMT.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot technical issues and implement solutions.
- Experience working in an Agile environment, participating in sprints and team collaboration.
