For more information, visit A Payments Specialist I is responsible for the posting of insurance payments, received as Explanations of Benefits, to patient accounts. This is done manually by reading and extracting the information from each EOB. Lockboxes also include the posting of patient payments received as check and credit card transactions. Specialist I posters work to accurately meet all daily, weekly, and monthly goals.
Duties & Responsibilities: - Posting Lockboxes:
- Retrieve daily deposits in our document management system. Identify payment information and manually post to patient accounts.
- Posting Credit Card and Over the Counter Payments
- Daily Balancing:
- All Specialist I posters balance daily deposits for each client, identifying any possible posting issues, and notifying the applicable personnel for corrections.
