Summary: The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll for Goldbelt, Inc. and its subsidiaries. This role will manage the entire payroll cycle, ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. The Payroll Administrator will also maintain payroll records, resolve discrepancies, respond to employee inquiries, and collaborate with HR, finance, and other departments to ensure smooth payroll operations. Responsibilities Essential Job Functions:

  • Ensure proper on boarding of new hires and off boarding of terminations as it relates to payroll
  • Review and audit timekeeping records for compliance
  • Load timecard data into Costpoint labor batch and reconcile
  • Add additional earnings/allowances to Costpoint labor batch as needed
  • Process SCA Health and Welfare
  • Make changes to employee's records as requested
  • Load Labor file from Costpoint or Kronos into ADP to process payroll and reconcile
  • Process benefit adjustments in ADP as necessary
  • Download and store post ADP payroll reports as needed
  • Create and run payroll reports such as 401K, net check reports etc. as needed
  • Process/adjust leave accruals in Costpoint Respond to employee inquiries regarding their payroll and/or timesheet
  • Review and verify timesheets, wage calculations, overtime, and deductions to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements
  • Manage payroll adjustments, such as retroactive payments, bonuses, and deductions, ensuring accurate records and calculations
  • Enter, update, and maintain employee data in the payroll system, including new hires, terminations, salary changes, and other payroll-related changes
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
  • Strong accounting skills, detail oriented, and proficient in Excel
  • Demonstrated error-free work
  • Critical thinking skills along with sound judgment and decision-making abilities
  • The ability to be flexible/adaptable to a changing and unpredictable workflow
  • Ability to embrace change, learn quickly, and thrive in a dynamic corporate environment

  • Strong cultural awareness and sensitivity, with the ability to adapt messages and strategies for diverse audiences
  • Basic understanding of relevant software, tools, and systems used in the corporate environment. This includes a proficiency in standard software applications, including Windows and MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associates degree or 3-5 years of payroll processing experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience using Sage payroll software Experience using ADP Workforce Now
  • Working knowledge of Deltek Costpoint and Time & Expense a plus
  • Service Contract Act & Davis Bacon Act experience a plus
  • FPC or CPP preferred
  • Previous experience working with Alaska Native Corporations (ANCs) and previous exposure to Alaska Native cultures
  • Previous government contracting experience
