At ACAA success is a shared responsibility, and we look forward to supporting and developing the unique strengths you could bring to our team.Job SummaryThe ACAA's Payroll Administrator is responsible for the administration of the timekeeping collection process, including employee enrollment and maintenance in the ADP payroll and e-Time timekeeping system. Responsible for the preparation and processing of biweekly payroll for all full-time, part-time, and temporary employees, including all payroll-related activities and transactions. The incumbent will act as the backup when needed to perform the complete payroll process.Here is how the Payroll Administrator will help:
  • Compute pay according to established departmental policies, company vehicle policy, wage and hour rules and regulations and bargaining unit contractual terms.
  • Verify and approve the recordation of payroll information into the computerized payroll system for validity and accuracy.
  • Administer the electronic timekeeping system through employee profile set up, the review of timekeeping records for compliance with pay rules and makes necessary edits and adjustments; as needed.
  • Ensure valid data transfers between time and attendance and payroll modules.
  • Review and approve payroll-related changes processed through employee self-service and for compliance with applicable governmental regulations.
  • Calculate special pays such as bonuses, retroactive payments, and benefit time payouts.
  • Update employee payroll records for voluntary deductions such as deferred compensation, AFLAC, wage garnishments, and other miscellaneous.
  • Prepare internal timekeeping, payroll, and external reports as required.
  • Monitor accrual benefit time records including all vacation, personal, sick time usage, mileage logs for adherence to established policies.
  • Research and resolve payroll issues and inquiries including timekeeping issues.
  • Schedule workflow to ensure that the structured biweekly payroll deadline is met.
  • Assist with payroll and time-keeping general ledger entry preparation.
  • Perform activities and other related tasks as required.

QualificationsRequirements to apply for the role of Payroll Administrator are:
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in accounting, business, finance or related field.
  • Three (3) years of payroll related experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of all aspects of the ADP payroll and timekeeping systems
  • Possess or obtain prior to employment a valid Pennsylvania Class C driver's license. Note: license must be maintained throughout employment.
We also expect that candidates will demonstrate the following knowledge, skills, and abilities in most cases:
  • Extensive knowledge of payroll-related rules and regulations.
  • Ability to be detail oriented and organized.
  • Ability to work in a structure deadline oriented environment
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel (i.e., Pivot tables V-Lookups), and PowerPoint.
