We're looking for a Payroll Administrator to join our team and ensure our payroll processes are accurate, timely, and compliant. In this role, you'll manage a variety of payroll functions, including escheatment, overpayments, and tax-related activities, while serving as a subject matter expert in payroll operations.PositionPayroll AdministratorLocationUSA, Louisville, KYHow You'll Create PossibilitiesResponsibilities:Payroll ProcessingCollaborate with our payroll vendor to process weekly/bi-weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal regulations.Generate and distribute payroll reports to management and relevant departments.Resolve payroll discrepancies and escalated employee inquiries promptly and professionally.Assist with year-end payroll activities, including configuring Workday timekeeping for holidays.OverpaymentCoordinate overpayment recovery, manage correspondence, and specify repayment terms.Partner with a third-party agency to handle collection proceedings when necessary.Tax CoordinationReview payroll tax information, identify issues, and ensure accurate processing with our third-party vendor.Respond to tax inquiries from internal teams, third-party vendors, and government agencies.Support year-end tax activities, including equalization and gross-up for international assignees.EscheatmentTrack and monitor un-cashed payroll checks, reporting potential escheatment cases to a third-party vendor as required by state laws.Time TrackingMaintain and update time tracking rules in Workday in collaboration with the Senior Manager, HR Operations.Serve as a subject matter expert on time-related policies for various employee groups.What You'll Bring to Our TeamMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.2-3 years of experience in payroll processing or a related field.Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., Workday, ADP) and Microsoft Office Suite.Advanced Excel skills, including advanced formulas, Pivot Tables, and data analysis.Basic knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and organizational skills.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion.Preferred Qualifications:3+ years of experience in payroll processing or equivalent subject matter expertise.Experience with Workday and Kronos timekeeping systems.Strong project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Proven ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.Knowledge of HR processes, systems, policies, and procedures.Ready to Apply?If you're ready to bring your payroll expertise to a team that values excellence and innovation, we'd love to hear from you!
