The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll administration.Responsibilities:* Prepare and audit employee records to ensure accurate payment of wages for 1,500+ hourly and salaried employees in multiple states on a bi-weekly basis * Update and maintain employee records within HRIS software for taxes, earnings and deductions * Print and distribute payroll checks and direct deposit advices * Assist with assurance of compliance with federal and state laws and regulations * Research and respond to internal and external inquiries regarding employee records * Analyze and test system modifications related to payroll processes * Reconcile payroll deductions and bank accounts to the corresponding general ledger accounts and create necessary journal entries * Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to ensure accurate and efficient payroll processing * Ensure adherence to internal controls and provide necessary documentation to internal and external auditorsEqual Opportunity Employer Veterans/Disabled* While an hourly range is posted for this position, an eventual hourly rate is determined by a comprehensive salary analysis which considers multiple factors including but not limited to: job-related knowledge, skills and qualifications, education and experience as compared to others in the organization doing substantially similar work, if applicable, and market and business considerations.
