We are hiring a Payroll Analyst at our Bloomington, MN headquarters. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, a strong understanding of payroll processes and regulations, and the ability to work with a high level of confidentiality. The ideal candidate possesses a strong analytical mindset, exceptional organizational skills, and a solid understanding of payroll procedures and regulations.Responsibilities:
  • Collect, review, and verify timekeeping records and hours worked for accuracy.
  • Process payroll related data in a timely manner, includes wages, bonuses, commissions, overtime and other adjustments.
  • Calculate and process company payrolls.
  • Assist with training new hires on processes.
  • Analyze and reconcile payroll data to ensure accurate and timely payment to employees.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies in payroll records.
  • Perform audits of payroll activities to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Ensure payroll processing adheres to federal, state, and local regulations and company policies.
  • Perform regular audits to identify and rectify discrepancies in payroll records.
  • Analyze data for accuracy before payrolls are committed.
  • Verify System prorations and retro pay calculations.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and employee information in the payroll system.
  • Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to payroll processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other relevant functions to ensure accurate employee data and seamless information flow.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Experience as a Payroll Analyst or in a similar payroll processing role.
  • Strong understanding of payroll principles, regulations, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and MS Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of payroll-related laws and regulations.
  • Certification such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits:The base salary range for this position is $47,250 to $78,750 annually with eligibility for a 5% annual incentive bonus, that is based on organizational performance. The pay range represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to education, skills, work experience, certifications, geography etc. As such, starting pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
