Job Title: Payroll Analyst Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Payroll Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining payroll information, ensuring accuracy in timesheets, preparing detailed reports, and resolving payroll discrepancies. This role requires a high level of attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Responsibilities - Maintain payroll information by collating, calculating, and entering data.
- Review and adjust timesheets for accuracy, allocating time to job numbers.
- Update payroll records by entering changes to employee information or benefits, such as job title changes, reimbursements, exemptions, and saving deductions.
- Prepare reports that include summaries of earnings, tax deductions, leave, and non-taxable wages.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer payroll queries from employees and employers.
- Maintain all payroll operations according to company policies and procedures.
- Process W-2 forms through the Paylocity system.
- Perform various administrative duties within the HR department as assigned.
Essential Skills - Three to five years' experience in payroll.
- Expert knowledge of Paylocity.
- Knowledge of wage withholding orders.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Computer literacy in Word, Excel, Outlook, and web-based applications.
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task.
Additional Skills & Qualifications - High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- College degree preferred but not required; relevant experience will be considered.
Work Environment This role requires working in the office five days a week under the HR Manager. The company is growing, providing a strong opportunity for this contract to convert to permanent.
