CFS is partnering with a local construction organization to identify their next Payroll Analyst. This role will report to the Senior Payroll Manager and will be processing payroll, helping with implementations and improvements. As a Payroll Analyst, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll activities within our organization while consistently maintaining confidentiality. Your primary responsibility will be to manage payroll systems and procedures, guaranteeing compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies. This role demands meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a comprehensive understanding of payroll processes.

Essential Functions of Payroll Analyst:
- Collaborate with the Payroll Team to efficiently process weekly multi-state payrolls, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
- Execute payroll adjustments, oversee employee portal submissions, and act as a proficient backup for the Payroll Specialist.
- Conduct comprehensive State and Federal Tax reporting, meticulously audit and reconcile payroll data, perform in-depth analysis of payroll data, and generate ad-hoc reports as needed.
- Address and resolve payroll inquiries and discrepancies in a courteous and professional manner, fostering positive employee relations.
- Ensure timely review and completion of all payroll-related correspondence, maintaining a high standard of accuracy and efficiency.
- Manage and maintain data integrity across multiple states, ensuring consistency and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to the upkeep of the ERP system and ensure adherence to Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs) to uphold organizational compliance standards.
- Foster strong collaboration with internal stakeholders including Business, HR, Finance, and IT teams, facilitating effective communication and cooperation to support payroll operations.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field,
- Knowledge of Payroll best practices, applicable Federal and State wage, hour, and tax laws, or Fundamental Payroll Certification.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in multi-state and unionized Payroll environments.
- Experience with 401K, garnishments, health care deductions, and PTO accruals.
- Prevailing Wage experience, desirable.
- Microsoft Office proficiency including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Location: Full-time onsite in Brewster, NY. Compensation: $60,000 - $85,000 depending on experience.
