Summary: The Payroll Analyst is responsible for processing accurate and timely payroll for Allegro MicroSystems' US employees. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. The Payroll Accountant will collaborate closely with Human Resources and other departments to ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. This position will play an integral role in supporting Allegro's One Allegro value by ensuring employees receive accurate and timely compensation. This is a hybrid position and requires 3 days a week (Tues- Thurs) in our Marlboro Site. Preference will be given to local candidates. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Process multi-state, weekly & bi-weekly payrolls for US employees, including verifying wages, deductions, taxes, and other withholdings.
- Ensure accurate payroll records are maintained in Workday, Allegro's HR and payroll system.
- Reconcile, post and resolved payroll accounts discrepancies.
- Review and approve payroll tax filings and payments.
- Respond timely to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to ensure accurate employee data changes and benefit deductions.
- Assist with year-end payroll processing and reporting (W-2s, 1099s, etc.).
- Support internal and external audits related to payroll.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive payroll information.
- Stay current on payroll best practices and regulatory changes.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in payroll processing, preferably in a multi-state environment.
- Strong knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.
- Experience with Workday or similar payroll systems is highly preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- SAP & Oracle experience a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
