Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Analyst for a long term contract position.Location: Hybrid Remote, SeattleLength of Assignment: 18-24 monthsBenefits: Three insurance levels, 401K + match, sick leave, and working with a great company!Summary:This role will be part of the Payroll Track team and will focus on performing data validations and business process analyses to ensure a successful system conversion. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of US and Canadian labor and employment wage regulations and have the ability to process complex payroll transactions. UKG payroll experience is required, and experience with garnishments, payroll tax, and payroll implementations is highly preferred.Key Functions:
- Validate payroll data and support business process analyses for system conversion.
- Ensure compliance with payroll regulations, including FLSA, wage and hour compliance, payroll tax compliance, and final pay/pay statement compliance.
- Handle complex payroll transactions, including multi-state payroll, garnishment administration, and tax compliance.
- Utilize previous experience with payroll and timekeeping applications such as UKG, SAP, Workday, ADP, and Ceridian.
- Support the implementation process with payroll system configurations and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate across teams to ensure smooth system operations and resolve payroll-related issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of work experience.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in multi-state payroll, payroll tax, and garnishment administration.
- Advanced knowledge of gross-to-net payroll check calculations.
- Proven experience with payroll and timekeeping applications (UKG, SAP, Workday, ADP, Ceridian).
- CPP certification or equivalent experience proving advanced payroll compliance knowledge is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of current HR and payroll regulations, including FLSA, payroll tax compliance, taxable benefits, and wage regulations.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with other Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to all levels of management.
Nice to Have:
- CPP certification or equivalent advanced payroll compliance experience.
- Experience with garnishments and payroll tax compliance.
- Knowledge of US and Canadian labor and wage regulations.
- Previous payroll implementation experience.
