Job Description:
Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Manager of Payroll Compliance and Benefits Analytics to oversee payroll processing, benefits administration, compliance, and multi-state reporting. This role plays a critical part in ensuring payroll accuracy, optimizing benefits, maintaining fair pay practices, and supporting data-driven HR decisions through people analytics. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HRIS management, payroll auditing, and compliance across multiple states, including Nevada, New Jersey, Colorado, and Florida. This role is pivotal in fostering transparency, regulatory compliance, and informed decision-making within our organization. Key Responsibilities:Payroll Compliance and Management
  • Oversee the entire payroll process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to company policies and legal standards.
  • Manage multi-state payroll compliance, with particular attention to federal and state laws in Nevada, New Jersey, Colorado, and Florida.
  • Conduct regular payroll audits to identify and resolve discrepancies, ensuring accuracy and data integrity.
  • Collaborate closely with Finance to ensure payroll processes align with accounting standards and reporting requirements.
Fair Pay Practices
  • Ensure fair pay practices across all regions, conducting regular analysis to uphold equitable compensation structures.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures that support transparent and equitable payroll practices across diverse teams.
  • Provide insights into compensation trends and practices, ensuring the company remains competitive and compliant with evolving regulations.
Benefits Administration
  • Administer comprehensive benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, retirement plans, and other company-sponsored benefits.
  • Manage benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations, ensuring timely updates and accuracy within the HRIS.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for employee benefits inquiries, offering guidance and support on benefit options and processes.
  • Support the annual open enrollment process, including plan renewals, employee communications, and vendor negotiations.
Compliance and Auditing
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local payroll and benefits regulations, including FLSA, FMLA, ACA, and state-specific mandates.
  • Conduct regular audits of payroll and benefits records to ensure compliance and data integrity, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Stay current with payroll and benefits laws and industry best practices, implementing changes as needed to ensure organizational compliance.
  • Assist in developing and enforcing policies to enhance compliance, efficiency, and employee trust.
HRIS Management and Data Integrity
  • Oversee the maintenance and optimization of the HRIS, streamlining payroll and benefits processes for efficiency.
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency within the HRIS, running regular reports to identify and correct inconsistencies.
  • Collaborate with HR and IT teams to enhance HRIS functionality, ensuring alignment with organizational needs and compliance requirements.
People Analytics and Reporting
  • Generate monthly reports from payroll and HRIS data to support people analytics and identify key trends in employee data.
  • Provide actionable insights into employee trends, benefits utilization, and payroll data to inform HR strategy and decision-making.
  • Work with HR leadership to create customized reports that support data-driven decisions, enhancing our approach to employee experience and engagement.
RequirementsQualifications:Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or certification in HR, Accounting, Business Administration, or payroll related certifications.
  • 3+ years of experience in payroll and benefits management, with experience in a multi-state environment strongly preferred, with prior experience of payroll processing.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal and state payroll and benefits regulations, particularly in Nevada, New Jersey, Colorado, and Florida.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems (e.g., UKG, ADP, or Paylocity) and strong Excel skills for data analysis.
Skills and Competencies
  • Expertise in payroll processing, payroll tax regulations, and benefits administration.
  • Experience in creating and analyzing people analytics reports to support data-driven HR strategies.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide exceptional employee support and explain complex topics clearly.
