Job Description:
Payroll and Benefits Specialist LOC Credit Union, a full-service financial institution, is looking for a Payroll and Benefits Specialist. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing all the HRIS system functions which include but are not limited to; processing payroll, data entry, updates, maintenance, integration, and reporting while maintaining compliance with all regulations for the company's HRIS system including processing payroll in compliance with all regulations. The Payroll & Benefits Specialist will have a great role in assisting LOC's team with payroll and benefits requests and questions. Here at LOC, we in our deep roots beginning in 1935.   • Process salary payroll and handle all payroll related matters
  • Assist and gather payroll data for various financial reporting requirements
  • Assist in all HR audits (Workers Comp, 401k, EEOC, etc.)
  • Resident expert on the Paylocity Payroll system
  • Research and verify all payroll discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Review and reconcile annual W2 statements
  • Review and input timecards from manual and automated time systems
  • Oversees employee benefit programs, provides educational insight and assistant to the staff regarding benefits, performs the administrative responsibilities needed to administer the benefit programs and recommends new benefit programs to Leadership Team
  • Work with the Director of Human Resources to plan and administer annual open enrollment periods. Support special projects as needed
  • All other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Abilities:
  • This individual must have proficient communication and organizational skills
  • Detail oriented ensuring efficiency and accuracy
  • Full understanding of the department operations and what is required to run a successful department
  • Expected high level of trust and ability to maintain confidentiality with information
  • Above average PC skills and have proficiency with HRIS systems
Experience/education:
  • Bachelor's degree or 3 -5 years of HR, payroll and benefits experience
