As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Payroll and Benefits Specialist to join our team and support our mission.Essential Duties:
  • Process semi-monthly payroll accurately and on time using ADP payroll software.
  • Review and verify timesheets, attendance records, and other inputs for payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with labor laws.
  • Calculate wages, deductions, premiums, and bonuses accurately, considering specific pay structures and incentives.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax laws.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits in a timely and professional manner.
  • Administer employee benefits programs including medical, dental, vision insurance and other healthcare-related fringe benefits.
  • Coordinate and maintain benefit enrollments utilizing ADP benefits enrollment platform.
  • Assist with company wellness program including budgeting, planning, and organizing program efforts.
  • Assist in the enrollment, termination, and maintenance of employee benefits plans, collaborating with insurance brokers and providers.
  • Research additional benefit programs designed to maintain market competitiveness and increase employee retention.
  • Review, identify discrepancies, and reconcile monthly invoices from insurance carriers, comparing invoice data to FDHS enrollment data
  • Keep abreast of changes in payroll and benefits regulations and implement necessary updates.
  • Prepare reports, summaries, and analysis related to payroll and benefits.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to payroll and benefits administration.
  • Collaborate with HR team members to develop, implement, and continuously improve payroll and benefits processes and programs.
  • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, human resources, related field or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience as a payroll administrator, benefits specialist, or similar role.
  • Proficiency in payroll software, with experience using ADP preferred.
  • Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and benefits administration.
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-functioning environment and meet deadlines.

Physical DemandsThe employee is frequently required to walk; sit; use hands for fine manipulation, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms using a keyboard and video display terminal. The employee is occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and climb stairs. The employee should be able to lift and move up to 25 lbs. The work environment is typically quiet to moderate with standard office noise levels.
