Employees may be deemed exempt from this requirement based on documentation from their health care provider.SUMMARYReporting to the AVP, Finance, this position will manage the payroll and accounts payable departments.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPayroll:
  • Process bi-weekly payroll for exempt & non-exempt employees in Dayforce.
  • Partner with Human Resources to help resolve payroll issues, answer questions, set up new or changing features etc.
  • Pay employees by directing the production and issuance of paychecks or electronic transfers to bank accounts.
  • Prepare reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages.
  • Review bi-weekly variance reports and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Review payroll systems and suggest internal process improvements.
  • Ensure accuracy of various tax reporting requirements, including W-2's.
  • Oversee compliance with statutory reporting and filing requirements.
  • Maintain internal payroll controls.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Approval of bi-weekly payroll prior to submission
  • Managing and mentoring payroll team (staff of 1)- annual reviews, training.
  • Responsible for conducting all new manager/supervisor training on Dayforce.
  • Responsible for conducting all Dayforce training at monthly Orientation sessions.
  • Review and reconcile statutory reporting and filing requirements (941's, W-2's, etc.)
  • Respond to payroll processing discrepancies requiring additional payroll adjustments and escalate issues to AVP, Finance/CFO as needed.
  • Responsible for all payroll reporting request
  • Develop / review payroll policies and procedures and update annually.
  • Responsible for managing Dayforce system (enhancements, upgrades, new entity builds etc.)
Accounts Payable:
  • Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day AP operations of the organization and ensuring the accuracy of data and the effectiveness and efficiency of the department.
  • Analyzes expense reports and other invoices in NetSuite for accuracy and eligibility for payment.
  • Review AP Proposals for accuracy and completeness prior to AVP, Finance approval.
  • Review all W-9 forms for accuracy and completeness and ensure proper classification is processed in NetSuite.
  • Responsible for preparing and filing forms 1099 annually.
  • Ensures proper storage of records for audit purposes.
  • Managing and mentor AP team (staff of 1)- annual reviews, training.
  • Review AP procedures and develop/revise as appropriate.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • Associate's degree in business or equivalent experience.
  • Dayforce Experience preferred.
  • Management Experience: Minimum two (2) years management experience required.
