Payroll Associate (40096)

Our client is an organization in the Appleton area that is looking for a Payroll Associate. This client is looking for someone with 4+ years of experience, detail oriented, and a team player. The salary for this position is $80k - $85k.

The Payroll Associate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own the understanding of the payroll system, leveraging data and creating reports.
• Ensure processes and procedures are regularly updated and optimized.
• Identify and lead projects within payroll operations.
• Test system enhancements, updates, and integrations.
• Create reporting tools for audits, compliance tracking, and payroll account reconciliation.
• Participate in the entry, verification, and reconciliation of union and non-union payroll processing.
• Serve as a back-up for payroll processing, time approvals, and wage attachment processing tasks.
• Assist with additional tasks as needed.

The Payroll Associate will possess the following:

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Associate's degree in accounting, finance, business, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
• 4+ years of relevant work experience, some complexity and/or union experience preferred.
• Strong ability to communicate clearly and professionally, and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local Tax regulations.
