Job Summary

Compile and post associate time and payroll data. Compute associates' time worked. Compute and post wages and deductions. Prepare paychecks.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

* Compile associate time, and payroll data from time sheets and other records.

* Verify attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments and post information onto designated records

* Calculate or compute wages and deductions and enter data into computer.

* Compare wage computations, logs, and time sheets to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies

* Record employee information, such as exemptions, transfers, leave pay, and insurance coverage, to maintain and update payroll records.

* Compile and submit payroll status and other reports to supervisors and managers.

* Maintain confidentiality of employee information.

* Process and issue paychecks to associates.

Nature and Scope

* Selects correct processes from clearly prescribed rules, past practices, or instruction. Seeks advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from supervisor. Deviations from the norm are cleared by the supervisor.

* Under close supervision, exercises limited latitude/independent judgment. Work typically involves detailed checks or close review of output by a senior coworker and/or supervisor.

Work Environment

* Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

* No travel required.

* Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Minimum Qualifications

* Must be a minimum of 18 years of age or older

* Must pass pre-employment assessment(s) if applicable

Education and Experience

* HS Diploma or GED, strongly preferred. 0-2 years of experience in area of responsibility.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience as an HR Coordinator.
