West Sound Workforce is partnering with a leading non-profit behavioral health facility to find a dedicated Payroll Specialist to support their accounting team through March 2025. This state-of-the-art facility serves as a beacon of hope, addressing critical behavioral health needs.As the Payroll Specialist, you will manage payroll for both union and non-union employees, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in high-volume payroll processing. Strong computer skills and demonstrated understanding of confidentiality and professionalism are essential for success in this role.If you thrive in a fast-paced, supportive environment and are ready to contribute to an organization that values compassion and excellence, we encourage you to apply!Shift Information:Monday-Thursday 8am-4:30pmWhat you will do as Payroll Specialist:Edit, process and verify payroll bi-weeklyEnsure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely while in compliance with contracts, company policies and federal/state lawsAssist with month-end close payroll functions reporting and year end close payroll functionsResolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information. You will research/investigate, respond and reconcile to any discrepancies with employees, management, HR or payroll vendorsMaintain payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering dataWhat we are looking for:Associates degree in business, finance, or accounting required. Bachelors degree preferredMinimum 5 years of experience in payrollExperience with time and attendance systems is required, Paycor is a plus.Experience within healthcare or union environment is requiredProficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)Excellent communication and organizational skillsBenefits include sick leave accrued at 1 hour per 40 hours worked; paid Family & Medical leave (per Washington State); 401K after eligibility; holiday pay and vacation bonus after eligibility; and opt-in for health insurance, personal Aflac and life insurance plans available.
