Primary Job Duties: Performs a variety of specialized administrative tasks in keeping payroll accounts and records for all City employees. Requires the careful maintenance of all records and documents supporting a defined Payroll System. This work involves payroll preparation and recordings tasks, which require the application of standard payroll practices. This title works under the direct supervision of the Senior Payroll Clerk. Difficult and unusual technical problems or situations are referred to the Senior Payroll Clerk for assistance. Does related duties as required.

Qualifications
Graduation from a standard senior high school or possession of an equivalency diploma issued by the State Education Department of New York; AND Two (2) years payroll experience for large organizations. Government experience helpful but not required.
