JOB SUMMARY: The Payroll Clerk is responsible for all functions related to payroll processing and employee garnishments. This individual is responsible for running, verifying, and reporting all payroll information on a weekly basis. He or she will conduct the payroll process for an assigned Vincit operating company and work with the company's management team should payroll issues arise. He or she is also a main resource for field HR representatives in regard to payroll discrepancies that may arise. The payroll specialist will utilize automated time and attendance software to successfully complete the electronic deposit of weekly paychecks. EDUCATION: Required: High school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Preferred: An Associate Degree in Business Management or related field preferred; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. EXPERIENCE: Required: 1 year of previous payroll/accounting or related experience. Preferred: 2+ years of experience working in a midsized company's payroll/accounting department. POSITION REQUIREMENT(S): Specialized Skills/License/Certification Required: Must possess strong customer service focus, social and interpersonal skills, and active listening skills. Previous experience running payroll using automated time and attendance software. Ability to address concerns and communicate clearly and efficiently. Ability to excel in a fast paced environment and meet time-sensitive deadlines. Preferred: Proficiency in MS Office, experience generating accounts payable reports. Prefer experience with MAS500 or equivalent accounting software, experience with SAGE HRMS software, and ADP time and attendance software CORE COMPETENCIES (Essential Job Functions)
