Transdev is looking for an Accounting Clerk in Baltimore, MD. Our Accounting Clerks are an integral part of daily operations. Accounting Clerks assist the Contact Manager in all aspects of the daily payroll function. You will be responsible for completing new employee profiles, payroll, benefits enrollment, and other clerical accounting functions. Responsibilities:
* Process new employee files & records and submit them to the Contract Manager for approval; submit appropriate paperwork to the regional accounting office
* Calculate & input driver & staff payroll into system for processing
* Track attendance for part-time employees.
* Responsible for fare reconciliation & deposits.
* Answer the phone and respond to customer inquiries.
* Distribute mail & prepare overnight packages
* Assist Contract Manager in accurately tracking overtime to reduce and eliminate unnecessary and/or additional punch hours
* Verify all standard hours
* All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
* High School Diploma or GED
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Demonstrate leadership qualities; self-starter
* Excellent time management skills
* Excellent organizational skills
* Ability to multi-task and work in fast paced environment
* Computer literacy, 10 Key, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
