Job Description:

Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Clerk in the Healthcare/NHS industry. This role is based in Daytona Beach, Florida and will play a crucial part in the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all hospital staff. Responsibilities: Handle bi-weekly or monthly payroll for hospital staff, ensuring payments are processed accurately and efficiently Review and verify timekeeping records for employees, guaranteeing correct entries for hours worked, paid time off, and overtime Enter payroll information into the system and perform regular audits to identify discrepancies or errors Calculate and process deductions such as taxes, retirement contributions, and healthcare benefits, coordinating with HR for updates Stay updated on federal, state, and local payroll regulations, ensuring the hospital's payroll process complies with all laws Address and resolve employee payroll inquiries, clarifying discrepancies and providing relevant documentation Generate payroll-related reports for internal audits, finance, and HR, and provide necessary data for tax filings Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure all documentation is up to date for compliance and audit purposes Assist with payroll tax filings, W-2s, and other year-end processes. Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience in a payroll clerk position or similar role within the healthcare industry. Proficient in Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, and ADP Workforce Now. Experience with Ceridian, Dayforce, and About Time systems. Strong understanding and experience with Accounting Functions and Accounts Payable (AP). Knowledge and experience in auditing, benefit functions, and payroll. Proficient in data entry and high-volume data entry tasks. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong attention to detail, organization skills, and ability to multitask. Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Demonstrable problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing situations. High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
