JOB SUMMARY:The payroll clerk is responsible for all tasks related to the completion and processing of hourly team members payroll. They will be responsible for being an example to other Team Members using a continuous improvement mentality and will work to perpetuate a Creekstone Proud culture through attitude and actions.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Collect and maintain hourly payroll data from departments to ensure timely payroll processing
- Provide payroll information to team members by answering questions and requests
- Assist in resolving payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing payroll information
- Prepare requested payroll reports such as earnings summaries, taxes, deductions, etc.
- Enter and maintain direct deposit or pay card information for hourly team members
- Manage garnishment, tax levies and child support deductions for hourly team members
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and follow payroll operations policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
- Previous timekeeping/payroll experience required
- ADP experience strongly preferred
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to foster an atmosphere of teamwork and respect
- High level of attention to detail
- Functional with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Basic math skills are necessary
- Clear communication skills - verbally and in written form.
- Ability to take direction humbly and collaborate in order to define and pursue team goals
