Payroll Clerk Our client is seeking a part time Payroll Clerk who will assist the manager with a variety of data entry, reporting, and clerical duties. This position provides a great opportunity to join a robust company for someone with payroll experience who is seeking to work 20-30 hours a week Responsibilities: * Audits timesheets for accuracy and compliance with payroll policy and procedures, contacts preparers or approvers as appropriate to resolve discrepancies. * Accurately enters data into the payroll system to produce weekly and bi-weekly payroll. * Works with excel output reports, interprets data and recommends action as necessary. * Keeps accurate record of employee maintenance records including earnings, deductions, taxes and benefits. Knowledge of union employee pay requirements a plus. Resolves employee payroll problems. * Update employee payroll records with new hires, terminations, and salary changes. * Provide administrative and clerical support to the Payroll Manager. * Other duties as assigned and required. Job Requirements Requirements: * High School diploma or equivalent. * Proven experience in payroll processing or similar roles. * Ability to work independently on multiple tasks with varying priorities. * Must be able to meet strict deadlines. * Knowledge of payroll laws and regulations. * Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. * Strong numerical and data entry skills. * Minimum of 2 years experience with payroll software ADP and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. * Ability to handle confidential information discreetly is critical to this role.
