Job Description:
Menorah Park of Central New York is searching for a temporary part-time payroll clerk to assist us for the next several months. For over 112 years, Menorah Park has been committed to enriching the quality of life for older adults throughout Central New York. There are approximately 260 employees that work for our organization. This position will be approximately 20-30 hours per week onsite working Monday, Tuesday, and Friday on-site.
  • Summary: Coordinates activities of workers engaged in recording hours of work, processing time records, compiling payroll statistics, maintaining payroll control records, and calculating payrolls by performing the following duties. Responsibilities:
  • Reviews personnel records to determine names, rates of pay, and occupations of newly hired workers, and changes in wage rates and occupations of employees on payroll.
  • Processes new or changed pay rates with payroll and/or computer files.
  • Computation of pay according to company policy and union contract.
  • Interprets company policies, union contract, and government regulations affecting payroll procedures.
  • Reviews payroll information to ensure accuracy.
  • Studies and standardizes the procedure to improve efficiency of the payroll process.
  • Adjusts errors and complaints. Education and/or Experience: An Associates degree is recommended or equivalent combination of education and experience.
