Diversified Maintenance Payroll Coordinator Diversified Maintenance is seeking a Payroll Coordinator to join the organization who will be responsible for fulfilling assigned tasks throughout the end-to-end payroll process in accordance with standard operating procedures. The Diversified Maintenance Payroll Operations team is a fast paced, team-oriented, transaction processing organization reliant on individual and team performance and continuous improvement. The Payroll Coordinator will be responsible for timely responses to colleague inquires via email, a ticketing system and text. The role involves extremely prioritization, organization and delegation in order to meet established SLA's. This role reports directly to the Vice President of Payroll Operations and Strategy. Location: Tampa, FL - 6297 W Linebaugh Ave, Tampa, FL 33625 Birmingham, AL - 331 1st Ave N, Birmingham, AL 35204 Responsibilities: •Deliver a high volume of transactional work with the highest accuracy and timeliness •Accurately review and execute data entry requests into time & attendance system •Investigate and resolve problems associated with processing data entry requests and payments •Maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data. •Prepare payroll import files and other manual pay calculations prior to payroll start. •Verify all timesheets and wage changes are approved prior to payroll start. •Enter garnishments, child support orders, etc. according to FLSA regulations. •Resolve payroll inquiries and discrepancies in a timely and accurate manner by collecting and analyzing information. •Audit and reconcile payroll weekly, utilizing the accounting team as needed. •Provide payroll information by answering questions and requests as needed to the appropriate party. •Maintain payroll operations by following Company policies and procedures. •Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential. •Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor Qualifications: •High school diploma or equivalent. •2+ years of payroll experience in a large organization. •Ability to juggle various work activities and shift their attention from one task to another to meet the demands of different stakeholders •Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy, team-oriented environment •Hold oneself accountable and responsible while being self-driven in accomplishing goals. •Detail-oriented and can focus on task at hand by finding the most efficient and effective pathway to completion. •Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels to communicate with internal and external partners articulately. •Ability to logically connect ideas, scrutinize and evaluate arguments, find inconsistencies and errors in work, solve complex problems, and engage in reflection. •Ability to provide timely and empathetic service through all communication channels keeping peer and customer needs first. •Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Suite •Location: Multiple - This role can be based in 1 of 2 locations an expectation of 4 days a week in office support. •Working knowledge of payroll best practices, multi-state payroll and federal/state regulations. •General math and reporting skills. College coursework and/or degree. •Knowledge of UKG/UltiPro HRIS system.
